On Wednesday (April 1), NASA launched its history-making Artemis 2 mission, which will see humanity return to the vicinity of the moon for the first time in over half a century.

The Artemis II crew are preparing for their historic flyby of the Moon on day six of the mission.

The first image, called Hello, World, shows the vast expanse of blue that is the Atlantic Ocean, framed by a thin glow of the atmosphere as the Earth eclipses the Sun and green auroras at either pole.
